Mr. Klein focuses his practice on domestic and international Corporate and Real Estate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, entity formation, and general corporate matters.  Mr. Klein also has considerable experience in the technology and hospitality industry, representing entrepreneurs, developers and hotel owners in connection with a wide variety of operational matters.

In addition to his work at the firm, Mr. Klein serves as a pro bono advisor to local, early-stage companies in technology, wellness and culinary sectors. From 2005-2010 he chaired the annual Vizcaya Halloween Sundowner fundraiser, a 2,000 person annual event which raised over $600,000 for the preservation and protection of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a National Historical Landmark.

In 2023, Mr. Klein won the special election for 11th Circuit, Seat 1 on The Florida Bar’s Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is the highest governing body of The Florida Bar, responsible for attorney discipline, Bar rules and operations. As a member of the Board of Governors, Mr. Klein is assigned to several committees, including the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence Tools & Resources, the Technology Committee, and the Disciplinary Review Committee (DRC). Additionally, he serves as a liaison to the Mental Health & Wellness committee.

In 2019, Mr. Klein was appointed to a 3-year term on The Florida Bar’s Mental Health & Wellness of Florida Attorneys committee, which is responsible for developing initiatives and educational programs to destigmatize mental health illness and promote positive mental and physical wellness practices among attorneys.  Mr. Klein was appointed Vice-Chair for the 2020-21 year, and Chair for the 2021-22 year. He was reappointed Chair for the 2022-23 year.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Klein had his own boutique corporate practice for 10 years, and previously was an attorney at the international law firm of White & Case LLP where he worked within the firm’s domestic corporate group in Miami and Mexico City.

Mr. Klein graduated with high honors from the University of Florida College of Law, where he was an editor of the Florida Law Review, a Trial Team member and Order of the Coif.  He was also selected for the University of Florida Hall of Fame and Florida Blue Key in recognition of his undergraduate and law school leadership activities and academics.

Notable Experience

  • Worked on M&A transactions and securities offerings totaling over US$1 billion for various domestic and foreign businesses.
  • Served as General Counsel for an incentive marketing firm with 70 employees in five countries.
  • On behalf of several hotel clients, negotiated filming and trade-out agreements with E! Entertainment and Bravo for reality TV show promotion, and concert agreements for headline performers.
  • Negotiated various agreements on behalf of celebrity chefs and other international restaurateurs.
  • Participated in the Put Something Back Pro Bono Project, in which attorneys provided free legal services to homeowners in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure.
